![]() I'm not sure what they can do but it's still worth a shot. The package had my case fan and keyboard in it about 300 dollars worth. I'm just wondering if this has happened to anyone and if there is any steps I can do to get it back or get insured for it somehow. ![]() So, I don't have a conclusive answer for you. Anyone have this happen before My package from UPS was placed on my balcony and when I got home it wasn't there. But if this occurred it should've just been delayed and get delivered the next day. If they're a newer driver they might've assumed they forgot to scan a package and did that. We're advised not to but we can manual select it (this is allowed because the bar code could be damaged) instead of scanning the package. I assume the driver didn't physically scan the package. I'm not sure what happen and this is just a "possibility". If the tracking history shows that it was supposedly delivered at the correct address then how or why would it have been delivered to the wrong address? Aren’t packages supposed to only be scanned once the driver has dropped off a package at the correct building? Is it worth trying to go to the local distribution center and will they help me search there if I can show them a picture of the box? I’m curious if you can share any insight on the delivery and scan process? Do drivers scan each package individually once at the location? Or can they just scan a “cart” or packages going to a building and that marks every package as delivered ? The building Is surrounded by restaurants so it’s unlikely it’s sitting in another restaurant? Is it likely that my package is still just sitting in the UPS distribution center and was accidentally marked as delivered when it was never loaded onto the truck? Or do you think the package was stolen.? If stolen my suspicion is it could only have been the UPS driver and/or someone at the distribution center as the footage shows the package never even arrived at my building security office. UPS 'investigated' and did a 'driver follow-up' and said it was lost and to complete the claim process. The package was packed in a larger Amazon box that is easily identifiable based on how it was packaged and it was not visible on surveillance.
